Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range, grass-fed buffaloes. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle growth and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

To provide the dog with extra valuable nutrients, super-healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Vegetables are not only nutritious, but also have other beneficial properties. The fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.

Fruit

We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog, ensuring your dog receives all the essential, natural antioxidants. This can benefit your dog's immune system, contribute to fresh breath, and help maintain a healthy digestive system. These natural ingredients promote your dog's overall health.

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and seaweed, among other things, has its origins thousands of years ago. These ingredients support the natural processes in a dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced through the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

Greyhound-specific vegetables, herbs, and fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Greyhound. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and FCI breed group to which the Greyhound belongs. Based on this research, and in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, we have selected ingredients that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Greyhound.

Fennel

Fenugreek, like the pea, is a plant in the legume family. The plant is also called foenegreek or "Greek hay". It originates from Mesopotamia and was already known in the Mediterranean region in antiquity. Today, fenugreek is also cultivated in Central Asia.

Fenugreek is rich in iron and copper. It contains saponins and coumarins, which may help with vein problems. Furthermore, it has anti-inflammatory properties (a natural anti-inflammatory) and promotes bile production.

Fennel can be added to the feed by us to prevent arthritis, asthma, and skin problems. The stomach and intestines also benefit from the positive effects of adding fennel, and it supports healthy digestion.

Banana

The banana plant grows in tropical areas where the temperature does not fall below 10 degrees Celsius. There is even evidence that the banana was cultivated in New Guinea about 7,000 years ago. The name is derived from the word "banaana" from the language of the Wolof people.

Bananas are rich in vitamins and minerals, including vitamins A, C, and B11 (folic acid), and the minerals potassium, magnesium, iron, and zinc. The natural antioxidant, vitamin C, can strengthen the immune system. Vitamin B11, or folic acid, can support the immune system and contribute to a properly functioning nervous system. It can also reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Potassium can also help lower blood pressure in dogs with hypertension, while magnesium can help relax muscles and promote bone growth. In addition, bananas contain a lot of good fiber and promote beneficial gut bacteria.

Raspberries

The raspberry is a plant in the rose family and belongs to the genus Rubus. Raspberry cultivation dates back to the Middle Ages, and the plant is native to all of Europe.

Raspberries contain many substances that can support a dog's health, such as vitamins like vitamin C, minerals like manganese, and antioxidants. Furthermore, raspberries are low in sugar and calories and rich in good fiber.

Raspberries are added to our dog food because of their anti-inflammatory properties and their ability to positively contribute to the functioning of the immune system. Raspberries can also help maintain good eyesight and a healthy cardiovascular system.

Puppy, adult, or senior?

To help you choose the right variant of our Greyhound dog food, please use the following guidelines. If your Greyhound is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Greyhound older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Greyhound Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Taste guarantee

We are convinced of the quality of our food. That's why we offer a palatability guarantee on all Yourdog packaging. If your Greyhound doesn't seem to like its Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We will help you analyze the problems. If we can't solve it together, we will refund your purchase price.

Transfer advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand of dog food, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. Allow your dog two days to adjust. Next, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. Again, allow your dog two or three days to adjust. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. Your dog is now almost completely switched over to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After this, you can feed 100% Yourdog Greyhound dog food at your own discretion.

Storage instructions

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it's important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight container in a dry, cool, and dark place. It's best not to put the food loose in the container, but to place the entire bag, tightly closed, inside.
